La Cité du Vin Hosts Benefit Dinner with Chef Guy Savoy in Paris

On Monday, March 14, 2022, La Cité du Vin partnered with three-star chef Guy Savoy to host 90 guests at Savoy’s esteemed restaurant at the Hôtel de la Monnaie in the heart of Paris. Three members of the American Friends Board of Directors attended: James Finkel, Michael Katz, and Robert Smith. Guests enjoyed a six-course surprise menu crafted by Savoy for the event.

Paired with the exquisite courses were extraordinary wines generously donated by KRUG Champagne / Weingut Egon Müller /  Domaine de Chevalier /  Château Latour / Tempos Vega Sicilia /  Château d’Yquem / Mas Amiel and Alpine Water GmbH – Hallstein Water®.

Proceeds from this benefit dinner, organized by La Cité du Vin, Foundation for Wine Culture and Civilizations, will support the 2022 temporary exhibition, Picasso, the effervescence of forms from April 15 to August 18, 2022. The exhibit will feature over 80 works (many loaned by Musée National Picasso-Paris and the Museu Picasso de Barcelona) of art in multiple media including paintings, ceramic and films. Created with art historian and curator Stéphane Guégan, the exhibit highlights Picasso’s depictions of wine, spirits, café culture and more.

AFCDV is a proud sponsor of this temporary exhibit.
