SUMMARY:Art Meets Wine: Champagne Dinner to Benefit La Cité du Vin
DESCRIPTION:The American Friends of Cité du Vin will host a special champagne reception and three-course dinner created by chef Laëtitia Rouabah on Wednesday\, October 26\, 2022. The dinner will be held at French Cultural Services\, Payne Whitney Mansion\, 972 Fifth Avenue\, New York\, NY. Gaëtan Bruel\, Cultural Counselor of the French Embassy\, will attend. \nThe evening will celebrate the link between art and wine\, exemplified in La Cité du Vin’s 2022 exhibit\, “Picasso: the effervescence of shapes.” Guest speakers will be Eric Mourlot\, Director of Mourlot Editions\, and Mailys Vranken\, President of Vranken Pommery America. Mourlot is the grandson of Fernand Mourlot\, the printmaker who brought the art of Picasso to the masses via lithograph. Vranken Pommery America\, a long-time supporter of the arts\, will donate champagne for the evening. \nThe champagne reception begins at 7:30 pm in the Marble Reception Room\, followed by dinner at 8:30 pm in the Ballroom Reception Hall. \nSeating is limited for this exceptional and exclusive gathering. \nFor sponsorship information\, contact Jenifer Morack at jenifer@afcdv.org.
